Football

We understand the passion and dedication football players have for the game. We’re equally passionate about helping athletes who suffer from the effects of a concussion.

Every concussion is unique and and so are we. We prioritize your overall well-being and your return to play, using evidence-based protocols to guide your recovery every step of the way.

Moore MyoWorx is Denver’s beacon of hope in concussion treatment and we’ve welcomed football players from all over the country, providing a dedicated and successful treatment course where traditional methods have seen little effect.

Consider these stats:

  • 5% of football players ages 5-14 will suffer a concussion every season.
  • A weaker neck has a higher correlation to getting a concussion and for every one pound increase in neck strength, odds of concussion decreased by 5%.
  • About 20% of all high school football players experience brain trauma every football season and that football is responsible for more than 60% of concussions in high school sports.
  • Most football players get “pre-screened” by a health professional prior to the season. However, this process does not normally include neck stability, flexibility, or strength or cognitive baseline test such as the Creyos test.

Effective Concussion Treatment: Get Back to Being You!

Our concussion treatment is the only approach that alleviates all four categories of concussion symptoms: Cognitive, Physical, Emotional and Sleep.

The “Return to Play” guidelines do not guarantee that your player is “healed” and ready for competition.

Here’s why our treatment approach is different:

  1. We include cognitive, vision, balance, strength and ROM testing
  2. We focus on a high frequency, short duration treatment protocol that gets quicker results
  3. Our treatment hands the power back to the individual and treatment team (including athletic trainers and your primary care provider)
  4. We prepares athletes to return to the field but also be more resilient in the future.

Our approach is evidence-based and has enabled 89% of our clients to reclaim their lives from the shadows of concussion including the following symptoms:

  • Headaches and migraines
  • Dizziness and balance problems
  • Fatigue that isn’t alleviated by rest
  • Difficulty with memory and concentration
  • Insomnia and other sleep disturbances
  • Increased sensitivity to light and noise
  • Blurred or double vision
  • Irritability and mood swings
  • Anxiety and depression
  • Ringing in the ears (tinnitus)
  • Changes in taste and smell
  • Slowed cognitive processing

We are proud to partner with Spartan Youth Club. The Spartans are the premier youth football organization serving Aurora, East Centennial and Unincorporated Arapahoe County, offering tackle football for kids ages 6 through age 14. Their goal is to teach the fundamentals of football and promote sportsmanship utilizing community volunteers and youth sports to foster a positive learning environment in which children can develop mental, physical, and emotional growth.

Our partnership with Moore MyoWorx helps us to provide the best in safety and concussion care for our young athletes. We are thankful for the thought leadership and guidance they provide!
